TestTalon Free / Community Edition
License: Free / Community Source Code License
Learning, evaluation, demos, portfolio work, personal non-commercial projects, private modifications and reasonable internal company/team proof-of-concept evaluation. No invented evaluation deadline, seat cap, test quota or parallel cap. Ongoing commercial or production/pre-production business use and recurring business regression require an appropriate Commercial License.

Commercial purchase scopes
- Individual / Consultant: One named individual; see Commercial §6.1.
- Company: One legal entity; see Commercial §6.2.
- Enterprise: Scope is agreed in writing; see Commercial §6.3.
Individual and Company receive the same TestTalon Commercial v2.1.0 software with different license scopes. Marketing names do not change purchased rights. Licensor: Nguyen Tuan Viet.
Within your Individual / Consultant or Company license scope, commercial source code can be customized, kept in private repositories and used in CI/CD, with no per-test or per-project fee and no customer-facing attribution requirement (§§3–8). Commercial V4 includes 12 months of access to released edition updates and reasonable product support from purchase. Keep using versions lawfully obtained after that period ends, subject to your scope and license compliance. Optional renewal is only for later updates or support; it is not needed to keep obtained versions running.

Neither V4 edition requires mandatory online activation or a runtime license server.

Both V4 editions restrict redistribution of the platform itself, publication of substantial proprietary source, repackaging and competing reusable framework products. Independently created application-specific tests and testing artifacts remain yours. Commercial V4 permits project-specific client solutions under §5; a client may maintain that specific solution, but may not extract and reuse the platform as a framework for unrelated projects without the appropriate license.
Support scope · Commercial §10
Reasonable product support covers installation, documented configuration and included features. It excludes custom development, customer-specific tests, infrastructure administration, application debugging, custom CI/CD, database administration, security consulting and custom third-party integration unless separately agreed. No response-time guarantee or release schedule is promised.
Special permission
OEM, white-label, course distribution and unusual source redistribution require separately agreed written permission. They are not standard license tiers. Contact sales@testtalon.com.
Earlier licenses and third-party notices
Earlier versions and purchases retain their original license and order terms, including MIT permissions where that version was actually supplied under MIT. V4 does not retroactively replace those rights. Third-party components retain their own licenses.
Terms that govern
V4 is proprietary source-available licensing, not MIT or an open-source license. Both texts preserve mandatory statutory rights, disclaim warranties and restrict liability to the extent permitted by law. A material breach may terminate rights under the stated notice and cure provisions. Vietnam law governs, subject to mandatory applicable law. Commercial §16 permits qualifying business transfers; §18 gives expressly agreed written customer terms priority where they conflict. Read the complete applicable original before purchase.
